Position summary

Operator -Assembler III are responsible for operating and tending specified equipment and machines, per prescribed work instructions, to create parts or products. They are also responsible for quality checks, assembly, packaging, labeling, and moving of product.

Essential Job Functions

  • Enter information into MRP (Material Requirements Planning) system
  • Inspect, trim, clean, and package products to customer specifications
  • Train level I and II Operators and ensure training logs are accurate and submitted to Quality
  • Act as functional backup to Team Lead/Supervisor
  • Ability to cycle count
  • Use Bill of Material (BOM) to pull required materials
  • Read and understand Operational Quality Inspections (OQI's) where required
  • Provide work direction for team where required
  • Ability to use measuring equipment (gauge pins, calipers, tape measure)
  • Mix chemicals and materials as required
  • Ensure the quality of the products being produced
  • Responsible for periodic checks on output
  • Complete assigned tasks through hot stamping, sonic welding, pad printing, resistance welding, and silicone back filling
  • Keep a record of number of pieces made and cycle times
  • Responsible for prompt recognition of faulty equipment
  • Perform assembly and secondary production operations
  • Maintain safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Read and comply with work instructions, set up sheets, and checklists
  • Enter production information into the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system on a timely basis
  • Accurately record and reports hours worked
  • Maintain an organized work area (5S) to include workstations, equipment, walkways, and locker rooms
  • Participate in the Operational Excellence Program
  • Understand and complies with the Cretex professional competencies, company policies, and employee manual
  • Adhere to all safety policies; includes wearing personal protective equipment when required
  • Support and complies with the company's Quality System, ISO, and medical device requirements
  • Complete all other work duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements, Education & Experience (incl. KSA's and certifications)

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience using a Microscope
  • Knowledge of clean room environment procedures and regulations
  • Knowledge of machinery and equipment
  • Knowledge of 5S and operational excellence
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to read and understand work instructions, prints, and IP's
  • Knowledge of basic math concepts and skills
  • Ability to read, comprehend, follow and document work instructions, standard operating procedures, and training documents
  • Mechanical Aptitude
  • Dexterity and hand and eye coordination
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks
  • Ability to take direction from the area manager
  • Ability to collaborate and assist team members, provide input to the area lead, and attend and participate in meetings
  • Ability to cross train in other areas of production when required
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment

Desirable Criteria & Qualifications

  • Experience in a cleanroom environment
  • 4-6 years of manufacturing experience
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints

Physical & Environmental Demands

Cretex Companies use cutting oils, solvents, and other chemicals in the manufacturing process. Testing is conducted on a periodic basis to ensure that all chemicals are kept well below the OSHA permissible exposure levels.
