We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our 2nd shift (2:45pm-11:15pm Monday through Friday). 

Position summary

Maintenance Tech is responsible for supporting the facility and manufacturing operations by maintaining, repairing or replacing facility and manufacturing equipment.  

Essential Job Functions                                                                

  • Coordinate corrective and preventative maintenance of all equipment, grounds and the facility
  • Review work orders to determine work priorities
  • Anticipate, diagnose, and initiate action to resolve machine malfunctions
  • Ensure all equipment is correctly and accurately maintained
  • Understand the operating characteristics and maintenance requirements of all manufacturing machinery, equipment, and controls
  • Review service manuals and records to optimize the frequency of preventative maintenance
  • Recommend and implement new methods and procedures to improve operations
  • Negotiate and maintain all outside service contracts
  • Coordinate the installation and training of new equipment
  • Submit requisitions for required supplies
  • Monitor department budget and spending
  • Maintain proper documentation and record keeping
  • Ensure the facility and grounds are maintained
  • Read and complies with work instructions, set up sheets, and checklists
  • Enter production information into the ERP system on a timely basis
  • Accurately records and reports hours worked
  • Maintain an organized work area (5S) to include workstations, equipment, walkways, and locker rooms
  • Participate in the Operational Excellence Program
  • Understand and complies with the Cretex professional competencies, company policies, and employee manual
  • Adhere to all safety policies; includes wearing personal protective equipment when required
  • Support and complies with the company's Quality System, ISO, and medical device requirements
  • Complete all other work duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements, Education & Experience (incl. KSA's and certifications)

  • Experience in troubleshooting machinery, electrical and hydraulic problems
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Minimum 5 years of experience
  • Ability to read, comprehend, follow and document work instructions, standard operating procedures, and training documents
  • Mechanical Aptitude
  • Dexterity and hand and eye coordination
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks
  • Ability to take direction from the area manager
  • Ability to collaborate and assist team members, provide input to the area lead, and attend and participate in meetings
  • Ability to cross train in other areas of production when required
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment

Desirable Criteria & Qualifications

  • Maintenance certification
  • High school diploma or equivalent; 2-year technical degree

Physical & Environmental Demands

  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment
