JunoPacific combines the full resources of facilities located in key medical device markets in Minneapolis/St. Paul and the Silicon Valley, focusing on medical molding and assembly. Services range from tooling, part design and prototyping to micro/close tolerance molding, single and true multi-shot injection molding, vertical molding, reel-to-reel, insert molding, complex tooling that includes Spin-stack and rotary platen, multi-component/multi-material product assembly, secondary operations and validated sterile packaging.

Position summary

The Engineering Technician is responsible for supporting the Engineering and Manufacturing operations by creating, maintaining and editing all work instructions. Being the eyes of production on all new programs. Being the first "operator" and offering solutions to manufacturing challenges the arise. 

Essential Job Functions                                                                

  • Create proper documentation and work instructions
  • Ensure the work can be completed safely
  • Evaluate ergonomics
  • Have work instructions created at OQ and corrected for PQ
  • Ensure parts are delivered as requested on the sample request
  • Work in production when needed
  • Complete Engineering Change Requests in a timely manner
  • Read and complies with work instructions, set up sheets, and checklists
  • Enter production information into the ERP system on a timely basis
  • Accurately records and reports hours worked
  • Maintain an organized work area (5S) to include workstations, equipment, walkways, and locker rooms
  • Participate in the Operational Excellence Program
  • Understand and complies with the Cretex professional competencies, company policies, and employee manual
  • Adhere to all safety policies; includes wearing personal protective equipment when required
  • Support and complies with the company's Quality System, ISO, and medical device requirements
  • Complete all other work duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements, Education & Experience (incl. KSA's and certifications)

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a Manufacturing environment
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to read, comprehend, follow and document work instructions, blue prints, standard operating procedures, and training documents
  • Mechanical Aptitude
  • Dexterity and hand and eye coordination
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks
  • Ability to take direction from the area manager
  • Ability to collaborate and assist team members, provide input to the area lead, and attend and participate in meetings
  • Ability to cross train in other areas of production when required
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment

Desirable Criteria & Qualifications

  • Experience with Plastic Injection Molding
