We are looking for a new team member to join our swing/2nd shift. 

Position summary

The Sr. Quality Technician performs advanced dimensional and visual inspections for various manufacturing processes. Performs inspections using various methods and equipment, complete appropriate quality records within company and GMP guidelines, policies and procedures. 

Essential Job Functions                                                                

  • Performs inspections in support of First Article, Gage R&R, and Process Capability (IQ, OQ, PQ) studies.
  • Analysis and Interpretation of data including process capability, Gage R&R, SPC, etc.
  • Minitab and/or QC-Calc experience a plus
  • Manually operate various precision testing equipment including but not limited to Tool Scope, CMM, and Vision systems.
  • Ability to program OGP, Micro-Vu, Zeiss (Calypso), Brown & Sharpe (PC-DMIS) a plus.
  • Effective organizational, oral and written communication skills to facilitate an effective working relationship with customers, suppliers, and coworkers.
  • Recommends changes to quality documentation.
  • Perform key responsibilities of a Quality Inspector.
  • Reads and complies with work instructions, set up sheets, and checklists
  • Enters production information into the ERP system on a timely basis
  • Accurately records and reports hours worked
  • Maintains an organized work area (5S) to include workstations, equipment, walkways, and locker rooms
  • Participates in the Operational Excellence Program
  • Understands and complies with the Cretex professional competencies, company policies, and employee manual
  • Adheres to all safety policies; includes wearing personal protective equipment when required
  • Supports and complies with the company's Quality System, ISO, and medical device requirements
  • Completes all other work duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements, Education & Experience (incl. KSA's and certifications)

  • Knowledge of inspection equipment use and maintenance
  • Intermediate level understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T)
  • Problem analysis/solving
  • Managing internal and external relationships
  • Ability to quickly shift priorities in support of production inspection needs
  • Organization: managing multiple requirements and deadlines
  • High school diploma or equivalent degree (GED)
  • 3+ years' experience in Quality Assurance
  • Competent with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Ability to read, comprehend, follow and document work instructions, standard operating procedures, and training documents
  • Mechanical Aptitude
  • Dexterity and hand and eye coordination
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks
  • Ability to take direction from the area manager
  • Ability to collaborate and assist team members, provide input to the area lead, and attend and participate in meetings
  • Ability to cross train in other areas of production when required
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment

Desirable Criteria & Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • ASQ Certified Quality Technician
  • Quality training/certifications
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001/13485
