Position summary

Provide operational leadership to ensure business objectives are achieved through operational excellence and a culture of teamwork and accountability.  Areas of responsibility include injection molding, assembly, secondary operations, customer service, scheduling, maintenance and shipping/receiving.

Essential Job Functions                                                                

  • Develop and maintain an organization of high performing people
  • Ensure plant operates effectively to meet/exceed customer and regulatory requirements
  • Work with plant leadership to coordinate scheduling and resources to meet delivery expectations
  • Maintain an environment and culture that optimizes safety and preserves the well-being of all employees
  • Embraces operational excellence and achieves target performance levels in the areas of Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost
  • Provides high-level project management support (i.e. capital equipment acquisitions, system improvements, etc.)
  • Partner with the sales/marketing, engineering, quality and finance departments to ensure execution to company objectives
  • Interact professionally with key customers and suppliers to build and maintain business relationships
  • Monitor the utilization of employee safety and OE programs
  • Partner with the other business segments: sales/marketing, customer service, engineering, quality, and finance
  • Understand customer needs and the core business markets we serve
  • Complete all other work duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements, Education & Experience (incl. KSA's and certifications)

  • Technical skill requirements include:
    • Manufacturing concepts and principles
    • Lean Manufacturing
    • Process management/statistical process control
    • Production layout/design/method
    • Manufacturing equipment management
    • Business and office system software
  • Performance skill requirements include:
    • Capacity planning
    • Scheduling/MRP
    • Budget management
    • Team development of both hourly and salaried direct reports
    • Problem analysis/solving
    • Managing internal and external relationships
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • 10 years of progressive leadership experience in a manufacturing environment with a strong preference towards injection molding/medical/cleanroom
  • Ability to consistently achieve short and long term business results
  • Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks when needed
  • Ability to follow through on commitments and holds team members accountable
  • Good attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and ERP and other business related systems

Desirable Criteria & Qualifications

  • Experience with 24/7 operations
  • Supervisory experience
  • Continuing Education; including participation in local chapters, associations, and/or organizations
